Civil wars, AIDS, starvation, global warming . . . how about preventing a legal recognition of two people's love? Yeah, that's where we should focus our energies.
It's interesting to read Coretta's quote. I came across a statistic a few years back that I have never fully gotten over; that the people who fought hardest against the initial gay rights movement were black baptist churches. I find that the absolute definition of hypocrisy: civil rights just for US! Nice to read that things are changing.
