Media ups exposure of Ai Weiwei's detention by Chinese police

There's a spate of video interviews with Ai Weiwei that are coming out in the wake of the celebrated artist's detention by Chinese authorities a few days ago, including TED's video of last month. Already China's most famous artist, he's the subject of several others:

will air the last interview with Ai before his disappearance tonight on HDNet. Here's the promo:


Frontline's segment "Who's Afraid of Ai Weiwei" is available for viewing at PBS.


That segment was reported by filmmaker Alison Klayman, whose documentary Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry is now in production, with release planned for later this year:
