Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, who is still missing after police detained him as he attempted to board a flight to Hong Kong, was invited to speak at the TED conference last month, but couldn't make the event in person. He sent a video, outlining his work and the kind of restrictions on free expression he faces every day.
