Didn't realize this, but when Star Wars was being filmed the actor who played Darth Vader, David Prowse, read lines -- in a Scottish British accent muffled by Vader's mask -- that were later replaced by James Earl Jones' overdub. [Prowse was born in Bristol, not Scotland. Thanks for the correction Gary.]
Dave Prowse is from the west of England (think Cornwall or Dorset etc.) whereas Scotland is a separate country at the very north of Britain. Totally different accent.
