Creepy 9/11 keepsakes

A creepy one from 2004: Rumsfeld and other Bush administration officials have kept "souvenirs" from the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, including shards of the plane and rubble from the buildings. I wonder if he returned the items, which his representative admitted "he doesn't consider his own," when he left office?

The Department of Justice also reported in 2004 that a subordinate of then FBI director Robert Mueller asked for a piece of 9/11 rubble as a "memento," and that he also wanted to "obtain a half dozen items from the WTC debris so the items could be given to dignitaries."
