Filmmaker Takashi Miike's character Ichi, from the 2001 film Ichi the Killer, shows up in a stencil by Inome near the Minneapolis riverfront. The film, shown at the Walker as part of a 2003 retrospective, is based on the Hideo Yamamoto manga series of the same name.
