Ratzi to Condi: I'm on vacation

I'm not sure what to make of this. Either Pope Benedict is finally resisting politicization by the Bush administration or he's an unswervingly die-hard fan of vacation. Either way, it's cool that he refused to meet with Condi Rice, who sought to improve her diplomatic "credit" prior to a Middle East trip. Ratzinger's people told Condi he was "on holiday" and couldn't meet.
