For less than a week, Brazilian graffiti artists have been having their way with a Scottish castle. The Graffiti Project at Kelburn Castle has invited street artists Os Gemeos, Nina Pandolfo, and Nunca to paint an entire building 35 miles west of Glasgow. Aiming to "take the vibrant and often transient art form of Brazilian graffiti out of its predominantly urban context and apply it to the ancient and permanent walls of an historic rural castle in Scotland," the project is coming along, but as the website's ticker states, they've still got 22 more days to go.

I was really impressed by the project when I read about it. I'm a bit sad that it won't remain there forever but it's definitely a step in the right direction in showing those who would usually be against graffiti that it's a great art form.
