At last: Strib hires a D.C. reporter
This shouldn't be big news but it is: after nearly three months without a single full-time reporter in our nation's capitol, the Minneapolis Star Tribune has hired a chief correspondent for its Washington desk. And, better still, it's Kevin Diaz, a veteran reporter who had the job before new Strib owner Avista low-balled him with a salary offer he couldn't afford to take.
