The Church Committee discovered at least eight CIA plots to assassinate Fidel Castro between 1960 and 1965 alone. Now, when the indefatiguable dictator seems, well, fatigued, a Republican Congresswoman in Florida is overtly calling for his assassination, in violation of several laws (this legal opinion by John W. Dean, which discussed whether Pat Robertson broke the law in calling for the killing of just-re-elected Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, seems to apply to Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's statement that she'd "welcome" the murder of Castro.)
