Miró's family goes after Google
Yesterday's Google logo, inspired by the works of painter Joan Miró, upset the artist's family and Artists Rights Society, the overseer of copyrights for more than 40,000 artists. They requested Google take down the logo, alleging copyright infringement; Google complied.

so now thousands of people will never hear about miro. students in classes were searching google for more info about miro.
they were excited to find a new artist. now, that chance is gone.
shows how dumb some people can be.
CAn't even pay homage anymore without moneygrubbing ARS slapping you down. First the Smithsonian selling its documentary footage to Showtime, now this? Culture ain't free no more...
