Like Damien Hirst's famous formaldehyde-filled sculpture, Czech artist David Cerny's
Shark features a killer in murky green fluid. Only this one is a
bound Saddam Hussein in his underpants, an image too volatile for the mayor of the Belgian town of Middelkerke:
he banned it from the Beaufort 2006 arts festival opening in April.
See Hirst's
The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (1991).
