Theo Jansen, but his work is so amazing, it's still worth a post: Jansen is a scientist turned artist in the Netherlands. His
kinetic sculptures range from wind-powered animals made from plastic tubes to a man-pulled "rhinoceros" that undulates down the road.

Q. After so many years, are you in control of the beach animals or are they really controlling you?
A.They have always controlled me. I obeyed their laws. Only recently they do what I want.
