As a writer at the conservative website Town Hall wrote in August, visas are granted to 90% of Saudis who wish to enter the US, and visa applicants from other Arab countries are denied access three to five times more often than citizens of Saudi Arabia. Stunning, considering that 15 of 19 September 11 terrorists were Saudi, Osama bin Laden is Saudi, and that much of the financing for global terror is thought to come from that country. So how does this make sense: the Bush administration has just agreed to make it easier for Saudis to obtain visas to enter the US.
